Secondly I always said I'd thank everyone who faved if I got a DD.
However dA won't let me as it thinks I'm spamming every one :(
For those interested in the process of creating a piece like this, check out the video ---> [link]

So here is the big thank you to everyone who has faved this piece over the last few hours.

I'm glad that I got a DD for a piece that I am proud of (I know some who haven't, which can spoil the surprise of getting one).

Also a note to all those who 'object' or are 'offended', 'appalled', 'shocked', 'disgusted' etc. by this piece.

In a word, TOUGH.

Organised religion IS the GREATEST problem that mankind has ever faced. So much atrocity, horror and devastation to the world has been perpetuated by man on the world around him because whatever religion they subscribe to says it is okay. Well it's not.

The teachings of Jesus as written down in the bible can be summed up quite simple as this;

"The letter of religious law is not important; Being a decent caring human being is."

Oh and the whole 'Son of God' thing, I think you'l find that was a metaphor; As in "we are all the children of God, let's be nice to each other".

Two messages that have been distorted and skewed time and time again by those who desire power over others. To treat them as things to be bought, sold, used, or discarded. There is only one sin and that is to treat people as things, all others stem from that.

I will not reply to anyone who objects to this on religious grounds. for the simple reason that I only bother talking with people who are willing to debate on rational topics based in FACT

Christianity in connection to the media is a somewhat out dated concept, 50 years ago this might have been shocking and significantly more relevant. as a religious person i stopped watching tv about 8 years ago, so this doesn't work for me. the piece dosnt at all reflect the description below it; which has much higher emotional value. the fact the its made from a stencil is a plus, very clean and precise work. the composition works but i like to see more of the hollowness; especially going toward the top right, where the arm has a motion vetcor.

your vision is good but not great.

i see, or used to see the connection to media and religion 'controlling' people a lot, in my experience its unsubstantiated and i just really board with it, not very original but if it had been a modern take on an older work in might have thought it was clever. tube televisions and the single most iconic image of Christ don't help.

but the technique is incredible, with better lighting i would have thought it was Digital.

as a piece of street art, knowing you have a nearly a second to catch someones attention id say the impact is solid, but this work appears to be on some kind of panel rather than a wall, so some is going to look at it regardless.

my advice would be to move away from cliches and put your own thought and feeling into your work but don't stop using your air brush (or spray cans, idk), really awesome.
